Don't you happen that sometimes you need to use an Internet resource and you can't find it? I mean, the resource that you used last year for that thing... We all have been in that situation. Well, recently I discovered what content curation tools are and how useful they can be for teachers or anyone who has a forgetful memory like me.
Content curation is key when looking for resources. The Internet has grown exponentially since it appeared and not every content is valid or even correct. We must compare and contrast as many resources as possible in order to get the best choice. This is not always the more specific, but must be the one that fits the best with your objective.
The organization, however, has never been my strength. I usually forget about activities or resources that I designed or used in the past. That's why content curation tools are useful. You can upload and storage many resources. It doesn't matter if they are videos, songs, images, activities, or web pages. These portals can be a gathering place for all your useful resources.
There are many different tools with this purpose, but the ones that I prefer are Symbaloo and Pearltrees. Those ones are the most useful in my opinion to gather teaching resources. You can create different collections and put resources inside, as you would do in a folder. Pocket and Flipboard are two other tools that I've used. I find them very useful to save news or websites for reading them later. Finally, I would name Pinterest as it is a very extended tool. I don't really like that tool, but maybe it's because I haven't tried to use it deeply.

Right now I'm using Pearltrees as my main organization tool and I would like to share it just in case you want to chek it. I also have it embeded in the blog's information, so don't hesitate to visit it regularly to discover new resources.
I love your post, so clear and organised - very easy to read! I experienced the same when it comes to finding the most suitable resource... Thanks for showing the Pearltrees resource - I love it! I will definitely use it 😄.
