Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonderwoman, Spiderman, Wolverine, Captain America... And I could follow naming superheroes for hours. We all know these characters nowadays thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe, but where do they really come from? They all come from the comics, which is also an excellent tool for education.
I could tell you millions of advantages of the usage of comics in the classroom. But we are not here to talk about that. What I really want to share with you are tools for creating your own comics for your lessons. In fact, I have tried different tools like Pixton, Creaza, or Comic and Meme Creator (only for Android). However, the one that I liked the most was Story Board That.
With Story Board That you have a lot of different places to locate your story and many characters to be the starring actors. You can edit details like the position of the characters or even their faces. If I had to improve something would be to add some more options for this, but it's enough for small works. I would really use this app, not only for creating comics but also to make students create them.
I have created a story, so if you want to check it, here it is:
